Studio visit with artist 丁乙 DingYi

Ding Yi (丁乙) is one of China's most acclaimed contemporary artists, renowned for his distinctive abstract works built around geometric cross motifs and a rigorous exploration of pattern, color, and structure. Based in Shanghai, he has played a significant role in the development of Chinese contemporary art over the past three decades. We had the opportunity to film a documentary in his Shanghai studio, capturing his creative process, working environment, and reflections on the ideas that continue to shape his practice.
